8 weeks - Is this real?!

8 weeks

Hmm - 8 weeks pregnant = 2 months (ish) & didn't feel very well! I'm trying to remember back since I didn't really feel like sitting on the computer, much less blogging.

Total weight gain/loss? about 1 pound gained
Maternity clothes? nope
Stretch marks? no
Sleep? primarily no - getting up to pee & waking up so nauseated that I didn' t know whether to eat or go lay on the bathroom floor. Luckily, there was never any laying on the bathroom floor - just eating cereal.
Best moment of the week? Watson going to the grocery store daily & buying whatever I could stomach eating.
Miss anything? enjoying food & eating & my energy
Movement? nope
Food cravings? orange juice, Atlanta Bread's cucumber veggie sandwich, eggs, green beans, mac & cheese
Anything make you queasy or sick? basically anything if I cooked it. After cooking & it was time to eat, the little appetite that I had would disappear! Also, no more saltines for me - yuck! Moved on to eating cereal in the middle of the night vs. those nasty crackers. Coffee :(
Have you started to show yet? nope
Gender prediction? boy
Belly button, in or out? in
Wedding rings, on or off? on
Happy or Moody? moody because I don't feel good!
Looking forward to? lots of things: first ultrasound & telling family & friends :)

Just keeping my fingers crossed that the 2nd Trimester is truly the best!

Kaua'i, Hawaii - 5 Year Anniversary!! (Part 1)

Well, jet leg and time change have gotten the best of us!! Needless to say, we had a great time hopping around the Hawaiian islands!

Kaua'i, Hawaii was our first destination

Nice welcome at the airport
view from our out hotel room
Rainbows all of the time!
Waimea Canyon - "Grand Canyon of Hawaii"

Meeting for our 17 mile ocean kayak "adventure" along the Na Pali Coast. The only way to reach this part is by helicopter or boat... in our case, a kayak. And, yes I said 17 MILES!!

All smiles at this point because we hadn't started paddling

Watson paddling hard

All I can say here is that WE FINISHED - 17 miles and 11 hours later we completed the 2nd greatest adventure in the U.S., according to National Geographic! Wow!!
